A planet with flowers

People from a planet without flowers would think we must be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us.

Nick they're beautiful! I especially like the 3rd one (Queen Anne's Lace). Hope you're all doing well.

Thanks, Karen! :-)

Queen Anne's Lace, eh? Why do they have to give them such flowery names? Oh, right ...

I was giving someone a ride to Toronto the other day, when she suddenly exclaimed, "The bottoms of Queen Anne's lace are white carrots."

There was a moment of silence, then I turned to her and said, "I know those words. But I'm not sure how you're using them."

I'm not a flower guy. I learned that "Queen Anne's lace" is a type of flower, and its root is a carrot-like thingy coloured white. Apparently it's edible.

Still, I felt like the world had gone aphasic on me.
